Sudden closure and sale of Middleton Cheney GP surgery
We are concerned and saddened to learn that the Middleton Cheney GP surgery abruptly closed at the start of October 2016 and is now up for sale. We understand that the GP has retired for personal reasons, and this is by no means a criticism of the Doctor in question; however, given the size of Middleton Cheney, and the surrounding villages that it serves, we call on the local council and the NHS to find a way to keep a surgery open in Middleton Cheney. Please contact us if this has affected you.

Social Care Crisis – the evidence is all around us in South Northants
Cuts to Social Care are leaving family members and friends at the end of their tether as they shoulder the burden of caring for loved ones by themselves. The evidence of the social care crisis is all around us in South Northants. This poster, in Brackley Tesco, for example, is asking for volunteers to give carers a break.
Homeless Man Attacked in Towcester
Reading the newspaper report of the homeless man attacked in Towcester last week, as well as immense sadness and concern for the man, several questions spring to mind:
Why is he homeless?
How many homeless people are currently living in South Northants?
How can we look to help these people back into homes where they can be safe?
What can we do in the short term to protect them?
